We proudly present our first direct trade coffee. This time, Rumudamo from our much-loved Ethiopian producer Daye Bensa, a coffee we have previously featured on our menu with great enthusiasm, is in our inventory as an “Anaerobic Natural” micro-lot.

This new harvest micro-lot offers some of the most exciting parts of the tasting wheel and evokes a generous fruit platter on a rich table. It feels like a bowl where fruits from faraway origins, such as dragon fruit and cherimoya, meet familiar fruits that fill our local markets, like early-season Galia melon, forest berries, banana, and Bayramic Beyazi white nectarine.

Despite its complexity, what makes this lot special is how transparently each of these fruits can be perceived one by one. And we should also mention: it smells intensely fragrant, almost like perfume.
